Dear Friends and Supporters:

With much consideration and deliberation, the decision to pass the torch has come for the CJP. In its omega year, the founder, Mayisha Akbar, is fully retiring, as well as all of its existing board. So there is much to do to see that the community is served by a successor organization, the Compton Junior Equestrians, that will “pick up the reins” on January 1, 2019.

We greatly appreciate your past support and we encourage you to visit the new www.comptonjrequestrians.org to continue your support and/or renew your monthly giving.

We are proud and honored that we have inspired a few hopeful youths and alumni to create a new vision for the mission of “Keeping kids on horses and off the streets!” They have new founders, Jamie Vance and Randall Hook, and are building a new board. Your continuing contributions could see that they will persist and carry on to enlighten and strengthen at-risk youth, to help them become confident and contributing members of our communities, utilizing horses as the motivational tool. They have big plans for new and exciting programs, like working with the Compton Cowboys.

We sincerely hope that you will continue to be a supporter of this new non-profit to continue the efforts. Please log on to their website to become a supporter today.

From the board, our staff, and the thousands of children that have benefitted from your donations, we THANK YOU!
